The history of Bookers & Bolton begins in 1873 when the firm was established by Mr Stevens and Mr Bolton. It grew into a substantial and highly regarded regional practice with offices in many southern towns. In 1990 the Alton office merged with Mr Robert Booker's firm to create its present named practice of Bookers & Bolton.

The firm has been based at its Alton premises since 1956 and has acted for a large number of local families and businesses from then right up to the present day.
