Race Report from Samuel Gay

Samuel Gay is the 15 year old Karting sensation from Alton, proudly sponsored by our firm.  Sam is kind enough to send us a race report each time he takes his Bookers & Bolton sponsored go-kart out with dad and mechanic, Steve Gay.

Here is Sam’s latest race report from 10 August 2017, although it doesn’t sound like things went to plan!

Saturday testing went well in the morning but lightening and thunderstorms cut short the afternoon running.

The 3 heats delivered mixed results due to a collision and carburettor issue netting two 9th positions and a 12th.  This left us in P10 for the final but with the kart not handling true to form we ended in 12th position. With the earlier collision we need to get the chassis checked for alignment before our next venture out. Some days don’t go as you hope – you have to take the lows with the highs in karting! But the kart was looking great with the Bookers & Bolton stickers!

Best wishes Samuel

We are so proud to sponsor Sam and we think he is doing a great job writing his reports.  We look forward to victory in the near future!

If you own a business why not think about sponsoring a young person or local organisation?  It is a great way to make links within the community and get your brand out there.  It is such a satisfying experience offering somebody support and making an unlikely connection with an event or sport or hobby that you would not have thought of. If you would like any advice then our Practice Manager, Paula Langley, would be more than happy to share our experiences of sponsoring people. Email: enquries@bookersandbolton.co.uk.

We also sponsor a charity each year and this year we are focussing on Centrepoint.  To find out more go to their website:
