There was success for Sam at Camberley Kart Club Round 4 to end June on a high. Here is his race report.

A good end to an unlucky day at Camberley Kart Club!

We went to a hot and sunny Camberley Kart Club expecting a good result.

Heat 1: I started in tenth position. I had a good few opening laps and made my way up to 6th place. However mid way through the race a steering bolt snapped causing me to loose control and go onto the grass. I came back onto the track luckily without loosing any places. The loose steering wheel made driving difficult for the rest of the race so I didn’t gain any further places.

Heat 2: I started in 3rd place. I didn’t have a great start and lost a few places but still managed to finish in 4th place.

Heat 3: I started in 5th place but had to retire early on because of my throttle cable snapping.

These unlucky heat results meant I started 8th for the final. I had a great start and got my head down early on picking off drivers. I drove a great race and finished 3rd place, picking up a trophy on the podium! This keeps me in the lead of the championship.

Next race: Forest Edge Kart Club 6-7 July 2019
